LOCATION: Starpoint Middle School
EFFECTIVE DATE: September 2024
CERTIFICATION: Technology Education, candidates who anticipate being certified by September 2024 are encouraged to apply
DESCRIPTION: The technology teacher will be responsible for teaching a comprehensive curriculum that complements and enhances the CTE program at Starpoint Middle School.
Successful candidates should possess a demonstrated ability to:
- work collaboratively with faculty and administration
- develop and implement curriculum that aligns to Project Lead the Way (PLTW) and the New York State Middle-Level CTE modules
- foster a safe and responsive learning environment
- execute effective classroom management skills
- create lessons and experiences that challenge students through project-based learning, engineering/technological design, and problem solving
- be an active participant within a welcoming and inclusive school environment
